am in office now. my work for this year is ending in 5 hours' time (:
no more one hour shuttle bus journey to and fro home, dealing with chemicals and preparing flavours for evaluation after evaluation, cracking my brain and going blind over excel files.
sheer relief! its just eight days and im near fatigue over such a mundane job.
work is just so routined it makes you emotionless towards it after a while.
seeing people getting on shuttle bus every morning, sleeping or reading newpapers after which, arrival at the office calls for the usual sitting in front of the computers, those in the labs start mixing their chemicals and the sound of lab equipments drone on. people start streaming out for lunch when the clock strikes twelve with relieved looks, some come back recharged, but most return expressionless. and the day ends with people rushing for the 5.45 sharp shuttle bus home while some simply cant leave, as yet, due to conference calls or work overload. and the cycle repeats itself mercilessly.

shudders.throwing work aside,
the three souls finally met up yesterday! pigged out at newyork2 and played with green apple candy floss, with wenhui going crazy with the sugars and peifen whining about her sticky fingers. and we pampered ourselves with the irresistable gelare waffles - maple syrup trickling down rum&raisin and chocolate obsession, sinful. and down to esplanade for some grown-up talks (: the time spent was as diabetic as the candy floss we ate <3
visited jo with karen last sunday. poor girl got hospitalised with gastritis! but am glas she's feeling better already! but it was, as always, a lovely catch up with pri sch mates! and we tried jo's first ever berry cheesecake (:
and this is the long overdue meetup photo with teammates on 3rd dec (: the seven of us, plus dearest coach. quoting yanhan "spot the thorn among the roses" lol.
in just a matter of hours, i'll be back to my usual december self! (: crazy shoppings for christmas clothes and presents, designing cards, penning down messages, making trips to mailbox, drowning myself in christmas songs, preparing for church events and the list rattles on.
but there's something on the list this year that has a stamp EMERGENCY in bold red next to it. and i truly hope im not too late.
